Please tell me what does “것 + 입니다” means in this sentence: 수요일 시험은 어려을 것입니다.
What does it refers to? Could you give me another example of its usage?

It is a formal version of "ㄹ 거예요".:)
e.g.
I will/am going home.
= 저는 집에 갈 거예요(informal)
= 저는 집에 갈 것입니다.(formal)
I will eat Kimchi.
= 저는 김치를 먹을 거예요.(informal)
= 저는 김치를 먹을 것입니다.(formal)
