They in English, "Ellos/Ellas" en Español
There are men and women. Or there are a man and women in a group.
What pronoun do you use in Spanish? Or how do you describe the people?
In English, we can simply use "they/their/them" for either gender or both genders but is there a specific noun to express?

-The personal pronoun "They" in spanish is: either "Ellos" or "Ellas". "Ellos" for Men, therefore "Ellas" for women...if you notice "Ellos" and "Ellas" are the plural for "Él" and "Ella".
-"Their or Theirs" are possesive adjectives. In spanish you can use "sus,su" before a noun or "suyos, suyas, suyo, suyos" after a noun:
for example:
* Estos son SUS lápices.(These are their pens)
* Estos lápices son SUYOS.(These are their pens)
Note that the use of "su" or "sus" and, also "suyos or suyas or suyo or suyas" depends on the type of noun. If you use "lápiz" instead of "lápices",then you should write:
*Este es SU lápiz.(This is their pen.)
*Este lápiz es SUYO.(This pen is theirs.)
-"Them" is an object direct pronoun. In Spanish you use "Los,Las". The explanation of the usage of this pronoun is a little bit complicated but I'll just tell you that it indicate who or what is receiving the action of the verb. These examples will help you understand with ease..
*El policía LOS atrapó.(The police officer caught them)."Los" indicate who were caught.(ROBBERS)
*El niño LAS mueve lentamente.(The boy move them slowly)."Las" indicate what's moving slowly (HANDS).
LOS and LAS can also goes linked to a VERB like in:
*EncierreLOS".(Lock them)
*MueveLAS".(Move them)
Note that you use "LOS" for plural male nouns, and "LAS" for plural female nouns.
Anyway, This is not a very professional explanation, but I tried my best in order to help you. I really hope this can help, and if you have a doubt just let me know, がんばって。
