In German, how do you tell someone at a store "I'm just looking"?
A dreaded situation - not speaking the language, I walk into a store to buy something, hoping that I will be ignored by the store employees. Then, one comes up to me and asks me if there is anything they can help me with...and then I watch their faces drop as I struggle to respond to them using a very limited vocabulary.
What is a polite way of saying to a store clerk "I'm just looking, thanks"?
