If you are from a village or small town in the United States how do you express it? I wrote in an essay Yo soy de la Aldea de......... My profesor said this is wrong and will not be understood correctly in spanish. That it will give the wrong impression. Villages or towns are located near big cities

In the USA we really don't have villages, but you can say that you are from the small town of..........................(i.e. Branchville)

In spanish is "Pueblo" or "localidad"...these are located near city, "Pueblo" is more used or more common. hope help you!!
