what word to you consider the most important of your language? why? In my language (portuguese), I think that the most important word is, absolutelly, Obrigado. It means "thank you" in english. I believe that it means more than just a word, it shows your education and reflects that you are able to feel thankful for something that someone did to you.

The most popular words in all over the world nowadays are MADE IN CHINA, my friend. Mas falando com os portugueses, parece que algumas "F- palavras" são muito populares em Portugal. :-)))

Staying with Portuguese, I would have expected you to choose 'Saudade' as your most important word, as it's a concept unique to the Portuguese language, is it not?
