in enthusiastic assembly??? Let us “see visions and dream dreams.” We picture one after another of the great Christian denominations meeting in enthusiastic assembly, redefining Christianity as sincere acceptance of the moral ideals of Christ, and inviting to their membership any person, of whatever race or creed, who is willing to receive those ideals as the test and goal of his conduct and development. I would like to know what does "in enthusiastic assembly" mean? Thanks.

It's not a common collocation but it's use here is OK. If you meet "in assembly", this is a formal way of saying you are meeting as a group, for example in a church or political meeting. Here, the "assembly" is "enthusiastic" because everyone really wants to be there.
