Hi, there are few difference between both words. As a Verb SUPPLY means, 1) Give something useful or necessary to ("We supplied the room with an electrical heater") 2) Circulate, distribute or equip with ("supply blankets for the beds") 3) Give what is desired or needed, especially support, food or sustenance ( "The hostess supplied lunch for all the guests") 4) State or say further ( "'It doesn't matter,' he supplied") As a Noun SUPPLY means, 1) An amount of something available for use 2) Offering goods and services for sale 3) The activity of supplying or providing something As a Verb PROVIDE means, (Its not a Noun) 1) Determine (what is to happen in certain contingencies), especially by including a proviso condition or stipulation ("The will provides that each child should receive half of the money"; "The Constitution provides for the right to free speech") 2) Mount or put up ("provide a good fight") 3) Make a possibility or provide opportunity for; permit to be attainable or cause to remain ("This procedure provides for lots of leeway") 4) Supply means of subsistence; earn a living ("He provides for his large family by working three jobs") 5) Take measures in preparation for ("provide for the proper care of the passengers on the cruise ship") 6) Give something useful or necessary to ("We provided the room with an electrical heater") 7) Give what is desired or needed, especially support, food or sustenance ("The hostess provided lunch for all the guests") I hope this is helpful for you.

In many cases, these words may be interchangeable. 'Provide' can simply mean 'give'. You can provide anything - not only things, but also help, warmth, comfort and friendship. 'Supply' suggests that there is an agreement between the party that needs certain things - food, money, fuel, medication - and the party which provides them. This may be a long-term arrangement, with one party supplying something to the other regularly, or for as long or as often as required. 'Supply' is a term used in business and economics.
