How does one say "Used to be" in Japanese?
for example: My mother used to be a model.

If I'm not wrong..
Okaa san wa izen moderu deshita (If it still recent)
お母さんはいぜんモデルでした。
Okaa san wa mukashi moderu deshita (If it was a long time ago)
お母さんはもかしモデルでした。
