Hi, Robin. I assume you want to get an explanation of how to write/formulate what you just explained. I'm just going to rewrite every sentence (I'm sorry haha) and get the main gist of what you're trying to say on here. There is the possibility/a chance to get a promotion at work. Should you take it? Is it common to get a promotion? Answer to your actual question, a description: To get a promotion. To get a higher position in the compony/in the office. If I would get a promotion, I would decribe it like this: I have the opportunity to get a promotion at work. Nobody the office had a promotion like this yet. Good luck and I hope you will figure it out, Kirill

Hi Robin, We'd say that you are promoted rather than your position is promoted. eg 'I was promoted today and now I'm a manager' or 'I've been promoted recently'. If you want to take advantage of a chance like this, I'd say 'seize the opportunity' would sound best. eg "I seized the opportunity to lead the project and as a result I was promoted." Hope that helps!
