Does he go by Hey guys I've came across this phrase " he goes by *name" on the Internet and I'm wondering if I can use it in this specific context. Scenario: Me and my friends are talking about music genre and artists then someone asked me if I know this uknown artist, my question is can I ask him or does it sound natural if I ask him "does he go by country music" as a way of knowing this uknown artist music genre. I know that you can simply say" does he do country music"(tell me if there's more natural way to say this) but I'm really curious. Please tell me if there are other ways to use this phrase in a different context. Thanks a lot.
