I've never been to there before. It would be much better if you're coming with your friends, you know, you could help each other, especially if your Chinese isn't very good. And I'm sure there must be at least one international hotel nearby and they have staff who can speak English. And I think it would be a lot easier if you've been to China before. I would have searched the internet and maps to get more information about it. I wish you would have a joyful trip and be safe.

There is also an APP called 旅游攻略/蚂蜂窝自由行. There are many travel diaries and guidelines on that website/APP which you can also download into your cellphone. But it doesn't have an English version. If you need help, feel free to leave me a message.

Pay attention to 1)the weather/temperature, 2)what kind of clothes you should dress due to the weather, 3)the transportation, 4)whether you have enough money and where you can find a bank/ATM, 5)if the people can't speak English, how can you express your opinion and ask proper questions. 6)if you are in trouble, how will.you cope with it. Of course you had better avoid being in a trouble. 7) how to book tickets for the cars, trains etc.

Its Chinese name is 虎跳峡hu3 tiao4 xia2. I have not been there before. Hope others can help you.
