节外生枝：Literally, [节] joint of bamboo. [外]out of 【生】grow 【枝】branch. The brance grows on the joint, a wrong place to grow. Metaphorically means在原有previous的问题上，又出现了新问题。

纵使 is equal to 即使，except when it means 纵容。 About 瞬间 and 霎时, I'd to ask what's the different between "in a blind" and "suddenly". 瞬间 means less then 0.0001秒，霎时 means in a very short while. 节外生技 means new problem which unexpected is appeared.
