"put in A through B"
What does "to put in something through someone"? Is there another way to mean the same thing?
e.g. "You need to put in a work request through Facilities."

The 'put in' and the 'through' aren't necessarily connected. To 'put in' means to make or submit a request.
'Through' means 'via' - this is the channel of communication. All requests need to go via the Facilities department.
