"Cordillera" is a perfectly good English word which we've borrowed from Spanish. My favorite online dictionary defines it as "An extensive chain of mountains or mountain ranges, especially the principal mountain system of a continent."

Do you mean translation? Literally, "cordillera" = mountain range / range of mountains
