You probably already know this but this quotation is from the book of Luke, chapter 7, verse 35. The Pharisees are accusing Jesus of being unwise because of his lifestyle choices. When Jesus answers, "But wisdom is vindicated by all her children," he is saying, "I will be proven wise not by my actions but by the outcome of my actions, in the same way that a mother is proven to be a good mother by the behavior of her children." Jesus is using a metaphor, comparing wisdom to a mother who has good children.
