Tratar vs Intentar
Hola todos!
Como se dice en español "I try"?
Yo intento o yo trato?
Y si quiero decir en español "I want to try (to)" esta - Quiero tratar o Quiero intentar?
Gracias!

Chris, hola!
So you can use both verbs for 'try' but note that the verb 'tratar' requires the preposition 'de'. Por ejemplo: Trato de hablar más como un nativo. (I try to speak more like a native.) The verb 'tratar' alone means 'to treat': Ella me trata mal. (She treats me badly.)
And one more thing... if you're saying 'I want to try this' and you're referring to a food, use 'probar'. Ex: Quiero probar ese postre. (I want to taste/try that dessert.)
Buena suerte, cheers!

I try is more "yo intento" than "yo trato", at least since my point of sight. But i think you can use i try for say both expressions, in the case of "i want to try this" it would be "quiero intentar esto", tratar in that sentence doesn't sound good
Hope i've helped!

They are pretty much the same, but the first one is used often. But you can use both and people will get what you're saying.

Dependiendo del contexto,.
For me, "tratar" is more like "deal with it" and with difficulty.
But "intentar" can be used in any context.

Yo quiero intentar seria en español. Yo trato es mas bien sudamericano
