Hi, I would suggest a movie such as Forrest Gump, which has a nice slow clear pace. If you like cartoons, something like Toy Story is also great for English learners. I hope this helps. Louis :)

You are clearly beyond children's programs so can I suggest old films; by which I mean the old black and white movies from the 40's and 50's. Modern films are usually very fast paced and the speakers do not even have to be looking at the camera. With the older films the dialogue was usually much slower, and because they were focused on the actors expressions the camera had to be on them.

I'm tempted to suggest the Woody Allen films Annie Hall and Manhattan, but his scripts use fairly sophisticated language. Toy Story Ratatouille The Wizard of Oz Billy Elliot Edward Scissorhands It's a Wonderful Life Back to the Future ET the Extraterrestrial Some Like it Hot The Princess Bride Mrs. Doubtfire It would be great if you could find films with subtitles in Italian that you could turn on and off. However, unless things have changed recently, Italy requires all foreign films to be dubbed (gives jobs to Italian actors), so I don't imagine that there are many with subtitles.
