وعليكم السلام.. عندما لفظ لظرف المكان وحينما لفظ لظرف الزمان عندما is like when in English حينما is like while in English لما ظرف بمعنى حين مثال: رأيْتُ المريضَ عندما خرجَ من المستشفى it means that you care more about the place that he left. ______ رأيْتُ المريضَ حينما خرجَ من المستشفى it means that you care more about the time that u saw him. hope this be helpful

All the words have the same meaning, but they're only from different dialects , حين ، عندما ، حينما : those are from the classical Arabic language لما : has the same meaning too , but we use it the most in Arabic different dialects, not ( العربية الفصحى)

و عليكم السلام حين و حينما ..both mean when but very very formal words " i personally don't use them at all haha " عندما .. literally means when . لمّا .. is the most popular one and means when also . " but notice that's very informal word ,so don't use it in writing documents , letters or .... etc " the summary ( just use لمّا and عندما ) عندما is more formal . I'll say an example once in standard Arabic and other in slang or informal Arabic as we talk in daily life standard : انا استيقظ من النوم عندما تشرق الشمس informal : انا بصحي من النوم لما الشمس تطلع another example ... standard : لا استطيع ان اسافر الا عندما أنهى دراستى اولاً informal : مش هقدر اسافر الا لمّا اخلص دراستى الاول

All of them are tools of the sentence conditionals but لما used in slang . Ex ١- لما اروح هكتب الواجب ٢- عندما اذهب الى البيت سوف اكتب الواجب ٣-حين ياتى الصباح يذهب الطلبه الى المدرسه ٤- حينما تمطر لا يخرج احد من البيت And that is the diffrence
