Hello Victoria, The meaning is exactly the same but 'once a day' is more natural and 'once per day' more formal. Best wishes Bob

I can only vote once a day or once per day are fine. Both phrases mean exactly the same thing. Note it is "I," not "I'd" (I would) though.
