Not everybody "like/likes" his writing? Can we say we must not say "likes" because of the presence of "not"?

Hi Daniel, As "everyone" is an indefinite pronoun, we use it with a singular verb (which is "likes"). It has nothing to do with the presence of "not". Example: Everybody cheers for the winner. Not everybody cheers for the winner. Hope this helps Cheers, Lance
