What does 'pa' mean?
I've noticed the word 'pa' in a few Spanish songs and used in slightly different contexts.
Could someone please explain what it means? I'm guessing it's slang/colloquial.
Eg "Pa, pa' que te digo na, te comen el oído"
"Vente Pa' Ca"
Any explanation of how to use it would be great, thank you :)

Pa' is the spoken abreviation of the preposition 'para'. We, the Andalusians, for example, use that a lot. Instead of 'ven para acá', we shall say 'ven pa cá'. As well, it can be the short form of papá.

It is just a shortening of "para", we use it in a colloquial way, but it is not technically correct. It is only used in spoken Spanish.

In colloquial use , some spanish words are shortened like : Pa' (Para) , Na' (Nada), words ending in -ado : cambiao( cambiado) , and even sometimes ending in -ada : emocioná (emocionada) . Please bear in mind this use is completely incorrect and don't think everyone speaks like that.

That word( pa )that you have been listening in some song is no correct. If you want to speak Spanishcorrectly you have to say (para).Pa is not a polite way to say (para).
