~ 되다 is rather neutral while ~버리다 is about mixed feelings: regret, fear, worry, etc, slightly negative ones.
Hence the last one is quite awkwar: 드디어 새 컴퓨터를 사 버렸어요.
드디어 means "finally", and it's something pleasant and ending the sentence with ~버리다 isn't very appropriate.
If you omit 드디어, it makes sense:
새 컴퓨터를 사버렸어요
You probably bought it via your credit card, and now you have to worry about how to pay the bill in the upcoming month.
그 사람과 사랑에 빠져 버렸어요.
You fear that you can become heartbroken
친구들이 내 비밀을 알아버렸어요.
You fear the consequence.
All in all, it indicates that something happened, and it's now out of control.
