Which one is the correct word to use?
Regarding the refurbishment of the infrastructures of an industrial facility, should it be:
Renewal / Refurbishment / Restoration….
I heard refurbishment for houses but I am not sure regarding industrial facilities like a factory….. None of them sound quite right to me, but I am not sure anymore.

It depends on the type of work being done. "Refurbished" generally refers to a more surface level, such as painting, carpet, and furniture. "Restoration" is mainly used if the building is in a state of decay or decrepit, really in bad shape, and likely not being used at all, before the work was done. "Renewal" doesn't really have a specific meaning in this context, and I probably wouldn't use it. "Remodeled" is another possible word, and means something similar to refurbished, but maybe with a little more work to the basic structure of the building, but not as extensive as restoration. Remodeled is probably the most all-purpose of the words.

I think in different contexts you can use different words, considering that "infrastructures" can be such a lot of different things.
Anyway, "Renewal" sounds good, or even both answers given here (Upgrade / Renovation) can work as well.
