"which do you think is more useful for learning: listening, speaking, or reading?" i don't think just any one is good. all of them are more effective together. one example is reading with audiobooks. you can find a book, then the audiobook, and listen and read all at the same time. good listening skills help with speaking as well.

hi,Bingo! I suppose for those beginners,listening and speaking are most important, we gain some basic words and sentense structure for communication,after that ,reading is a wonderful way to further enlarge our vocabury,enrich our minds,which helps us to see the essence of language:)

Hello Bingo, They are together important for your improvement in the language. But if you are improving your speaking skills listening and speaking will be prior,while if your goal is increasing your vocabulary and improving your writing skills more attention should be given to reading. This doesn't mean the neglect of the other practices. They are after all mutually joined to accomplish one's progress in learning.
