What's the difference between "company" and "enterprise"?

I want to add to this that I think enterprise is more formal too.
You can look at the eamples in the Cambridge online dictionary to give you a good idea of its usage.

I would also say that a company is usually a formal structured organisation, but it could start by being an enterprise. An enterprise can be an idea.
For example, "My enterprise of helping the neighbours care for their gardens when I was at school led me to starting my own successful gardening company."

Hi there.
There's not a huge difference between them.
A company is an organisation that provides services, or that makes or sells goods for money.
For example, "My brother works for a huge oil company."
Enterprise is just a word to describe a business company or organisation.
For example, "Euro Disney is a much smaller enterprise than its American counterparts."
