날마다/매일 They are similar but also slightly different. * 매일 = every day (more widely used, especially in more official settings) * 날마다 = every day; day by day; day in and day out (sometimes it works better than 매일 in poetic contexts) Examples: - 다음 주에는 매일 잔업이 있어요 = You will have overtime work every day next week. - 이달 들어 매일 비가 내렸다 = It rained every day since the month started. - 너는 어떻게 날마다 용돈을 달라고 하냐? = How come you're asking for allowance every single day? - 그녀는 날마다 마을 어귀에 나가 기다렸지만 그는 오지 않았다 = She went out and waited at the entrance of the village day after day, but he never came.
