What does "vetting" mean?
Hello everybody. Can anyone tell me what vetting means in this context: "...undergoes a thorough vetting between version changes". The text is about website management.

Vetting means checking up on somebodys background or history- say if i was to offer you a job you would be vetted to see if you were suitable, vetting is therefore a process of examination.

or To subject to thorough examination or evaluation:
