What's the difference between “支持” and “支撐”？
I hear 支持 used a lot more. I don't really know how to use 支撐!
An example sentence would be a big help.

支撐 often refers to physical support - things holding other things up
1）房屋全靠樑柱支撐。
2）沒有支撐，牆就會垮了。
支持 is usually used for support in more of a metaphorical sense
1）感謝各位的鼎力支持！
2）我支持你的意見！

这两个词都有勉强维持的意思。
支持
①勉强维持：累得支持不住了。
②给以鼓励或赞助，精神上的：互相支持丨支持合理化建议。
支撑
①抵抗住压力使东西不倒塌，实际物体：坑道里用柱子支撑着。
②勉强维持：他支撑着坐起来，头还在发晕丨一家的生活由他一人支撑。
