1.Thank you for always *being* on my side. (or by my side is OK, too) 2.Thank you for always taking my side. (Correct) 3.Thank you for always backing me up. (Correct)
The meanings are slightly different, though. "being on my side" or "taking my side" means that the other person is on *your* side and not on the opponent/enemy's side, if you have an enemy. lol Now, "being by my side" simply means 谢谢你在我身边一起, so, there is no taking anyone's side. Now, "thanks for always backing me up" means even when you are disadvantaged, a friend always supports you and backs you up.
But yes,
