About Q1: I know several Japanese salary men living in SH,they are learning Chinese from me and my co-worker is Japanese as well.I can check with them if or not they want to study English from you, maybe you can have a language change.BTW, there are about over 40 thousands of Japanese living in SH, so actually I think it won't be a problem to find a Japanese language partner if you're willing to:) About Q2: Japan is such a different country from any other nation, so it would be helpful to find motivation by learning it's culture first. For example, start with Japanese food. About Q3: Since I was learning Japanese by Chinese material, I not sure if ther are proper for you unless you speak Chinese as well.
