"40 Years’ Development of X’s Outward Foreign Direct Investment", is it correct?
X is a country name. I am thinking which title is correct:
1) 40 Years’ Development of X’s Outward Foreign Direct Investment
2) 40 Years Development of X’s Outward Foreign Direct Investment
3) 40-Year Development of X’s Outward Foreign Direct Investment
Let me know if you have other suggestions. Thanks!

These questions are delicate. I think
1 -isn't usual to use the 's' possessive with something which isn't a person.
2. Would sound better to me '40 Years of Development of X’s Outward Foreign Direct Investment'
3. Is correct. The emphasis on meaning is possibly slightly different as it sounds more singular - one 40-year development. Rather than a history of different developments.
Personally I would go for
'40 Years of Development of X’s Outward Foreign Direct Investment'
but I hope you get another opinion. I rarely work with this type of text.
