operating vs operational
A chief _ officer is responsible for the day-to-day _ management of an organization.
what's the difference between operating and operational?
Sean's absolutely right, but we also sometimes use 'operating' as part of a compound noun. Example: "The operating systems are at full capacity." (where 'operating systems' make one noun).
