Hi All Again,
Is Surpass and outperform interchangeable? If not, could you please provide me a synonym to outperform?

Surpass means to exceed but outperform means to do better.
E.g. The number of students in one class exceeds the number of students in another class.
In other words, there are more students in one class than the other.
E.g. The students in one class outperformed the students in another class.
I.e. One class did better than the other class.
