为X所Y = "Because of X, the consequences of Y are..." or "For X, hence Y". This is formal classical Chinese.
为情所困 because of love, I am trapped.
为名所累 For fame, hence I am thus. There are many meaning of 累 and without context, most of the meanings can be fit into it.
