Can I use the word "fealty" and "lineage" in the sentence as "He swears fealty for his ancient royal lineage"?

I don’t think the sentence is correct. A person swears fealty “to” (not “for”), and usually swears fealty to a PERSON, not to something like his lineage. Example: “All the knights in the kingdom swore fealty to the new King.”
