What does "suelo" mean in this context?
Ayer conocí un cielo sin sol
Y un hombre sin suelo
Un santo en prisión
Y una canción triste sin dueño

I believe that “ un hombre sin suelo” is a person without a home, but you need to understand this phrase from the philosopical perspective. No matter if your home is a luxurious place, that is not important, your home could be anywhere, is a place in which you share your love with your love ones and you find your element while you are in there. It is your shelter.

I think that "un hombre sin suelo" means a man without home, a place to live or at least a country

I think that it has a figurative meaning in a very metaphorical song. I agree with Anna in the fact that it could represent a man without a country, but I believe the idea here is to speak about a man that flies instead of walking, both literally and spiritually (that has reached his zenith and is at peace with the world). Although I have found this article (https://elpais.com/diario/1994/09/05/opinion/778716006_850215.html) that talks about "hombre sin suelo" as a homeless man, I think we would use more "sin techo" in Spanish than "sin suelo" to convey that meaning. However, it is a song and songs are always difficult to interpret, I hope this helped!
