pronunciation of hear and here
Hi everybody, I have a question.
I've read some texts, and I note my pronunciation of hear ( like a "hear a sound") and here ("here your book") sounds like equal to me. Is that right?

In American English, there is little to no difference in pronunciation. It is more on the context of the situation that you judge it.
For example, if I point to a book and say: "Here." I am implying a location.
If I point to my ear and say: "Hear." I am implying a verb and entirely, a different word.
In short, it relies on context.
