【had driven vs drove】in this context
hi guys.
The setting is : after the car crash, he was sent to hospital.
So which sounds better?
1.After he had driven the car into the wall, he was sent to hospital.
2.After he drove the car into the wall, he was sent to hospital.
【I was told that the English language attaches much importance to tense. So 1 sounds better than 2? or maybe both will be fine? Thanks.】
