is "all in all" an informal expression? and if not, is there any informal equivalent for that?

In my experience, "all in all" is the same as saying, "in conclusion", or "in summary". An informal way of saying "all in all" could be to start a sentence with, "so, you see...", or "so what I'm getting at is...". Hope this answers your question! Greg in California
