It depends on the type of stove. If it's a gas or solid fuel stove, with actual flames, you can say 'light the stove'. You could also say 'turn on' with this kind of stove, especially if it lights automatically with a switch or button. If it's an electric stove, you'd say 'turn on' or 'switch on'. It isn't possible to 'light' an electrical appliance. We wouldn't usually say 'ignite'. 'Ignite' is a Latin-based word which is quite formal and scientific. You might possibly see it in a product manual, but we wouldn't use it in everyday English. I hope that helps.

"Turn on the stove" is always correct. If the stove uses gas you can say "light the stove" but you cannot "light" an electric stove.
