Is it correct to say "THE TWO"?
I am wondering if it's correct to use "The Two" expression?
Example: The author and his wife lived in France. The two left for Belgium in 2000.

You could also say " The two of them" or "They" or "They both" etc.

I think that second one is not correct, sounds better " the author and his wife lived in French, both left for Begium in 2000
