Let's clean-slate it?? Let's get through this stuff. Let's do it together. Let's clean-slate it. Let's just do it. A clean slate is a noun. I cannot find any information, which is it can be used as a verb. Is this a correct one? I think it should be Let's clean the slate, or Let's start with a clean slate. Then why the person says it. ps. This is the line of 'Ben' in the movie, The Intern.

A clean slate means to start fresh -- erase everything on the slate. I would say, "Let's start with a clean slate." but there is a tendency in English to create verbs out of nouns. https://www.thefreedictionary.com/clean+slate I have seen people write, "Inbox me," to mean "send an e-mail to my inbox."
