I sent him to the airport.
I saw him at the airport.
I met him at the airport.
Those would make more sense. :)

If you go to the airport to see him, then "I met him at the airport."
If he left you to go to the airport, then "I sent him to the airport."
"at" is used for a location or arrival in a particular place or position. "I am at home" or "Meet me at the bar"
"to" indicates movement toward a destination. "Go to work" or "I went to the store"
