Hi everyone! I am a new teacher who has arrived to Italki 4 weeks ago. The 2 first weeks I was amongst the first teachers of the search list if italki. I do not know why but now I am one of the least. I would like to know how to be one of the first because if people don't find me I will not have new lesson requests and new students. Some people say I have to log in frequently. But I have got Italki's app and I am always active.

So far I've maintained myself on top 15. This could also be because there are only 79 Hindi teachers 🤷‍♂️

Yes, I experience that. I'm always online, but I suddenly didn't see my name in the teacher search. Before just a quick my name there but now so sad.

italki lists teachers based on students' learning preferences.
Say, you offer English grammar lessons to students of level B2-C2 and a student wants to learn the same language but his/her level is B1 OR A2. Now, italki would recommend or list all the teachers considering student's language level.

italki has a problem of displaying incorrect login status. For instance, even when I'm online my teacher profile page shows my status offline or visited an hour ago.

I keep updating my teacher profile info (small part) each week, because I think this could be one of the parameters used to list down teachers.
