Hi Pelin, As John mentioned, we need more context in order to provide a synonym. I'll give a couple of examples below of common usage: • "Sailing is a personal interest of mine." --> meaning: hobby. This meaning is commonly used in the context of a CV/resume or a job interview. • "I have a personal interest in the project." --> meaning: I am invested. (could be financial or emotional). This is often used in legal or investment contexts, or as it relates to charitable causes. Hope this helps! Let us know if you have more questions.

Need more context. But personal interest is a natural phrase. "it is of great personal interest to me" "I have a personal interest in the project" "What is you personal interest in this matter" There are hundreds of cases and examples where we insert this phrase into conversations and writings.
