I agree with both Cherry and Mark Kramer.
'Bread' is an uncountable noun (non-count noun). Uncountable nouns are always singular and are not used with a/an.
So we should say:
'a loaf / slice / piece of bread'
'white / brown bread'
'Would you like some more bread?'
'Would you like another loaf / piece / slice of bread?'
(So we do not say 'breads')
However, some uncountable nouns can take 'a/an' in the singular and can be used in the plural when we want to talk about a particular type of something:
'It's a bread which has to be eaten on the day...'
'A life of pure deprivation'
'A love of music'
- to look well: healthy, not sick
- to look good: attractive

Hello Naij,
**"Bread" is a collective noun , it has no singular ,you can't say "a bread , 2 breads, another bread ..etc". Therefore ,you rather say :
" Would you like some bread?"
If you want to use "another" or a definitive article "a" you say" :
"Would you like another loaf of bread?"
** You could say both "look well" or "look good" ,but then they have different meanings:
- to look well:
to be in good health , to look healthy or fit, to be fine and alright.
- to look good:
to look admirable, pleasing to the eye, handsome, beautiful or attractive.

Bread is uncountable, you cannot use it with "a" (you should say" a peice/slice/loaf" of bread).
BUT!!! it can be used to talk about "types of bread" "a bread" = "a type of bread." However it's rarely used like this, especially forsomeone just beginning English, so you can ignore it.

不过，它的用法也是”一种面包“，你说”bread“但是有这个意思的话能说”a bread“。但是，那个用法有一点儿不常用，所以现在（你刚开始学的时候）不管它，啊：）

Sure you can. :) As in:
"It's a bread which has to be eaten on the day of baking, as it gets stale really fast."
When you mean 'a (type of) bread.' In this example, "It's a loaf of bread which has to be eaten..." would be dead-wrong even.

"Would you like some more bread?"
Here 'bread' refers to just another slice/piece of bread.
"Would you like another bread?"
Here 'bread' refers to 'a bread,' as in the whole (loaf of) bread you buy at the store.
"He looks good."
Meaning: he looks physically pleasing to the eye, attractive (good-looking).
"He looks well."
Refers to his state of health; as in: not ill.
