It is "Pushing up daisies". Meaning to be dead and buried. A phrase used by Ween (the greatest band in the world) in their song "Push Th' Little Daisies." Jimmy loved throwing action figures into busy streets then running amongst the traffic to retrieve them. His luck eventually ran out and he can only push up daisies. They use kicking up daisies mostly in songs etc, you can say, as slang.

If he's kicking up the daisies, that means that he's dead and buried. From where he lies, all he can do is push daisies up out of the ground. I've heard it more often said, "pushing up daisies."
