i didnt watch but seen the ads. Salt is in my land - Catalunya - the name of a town very small 20 years ago and now very famous here for having become a laboratory of immigrants integration. 90% population is foreign and there has been a lot of incidents of a varied nature: african girls suffering genital ablation as a "institucionalized" ritual, islamism and killing of women for "honor" causes, latino gangs, ¨Pakistani and chinese undercover work/explotation, etc. This land was very naive about foreign immigration and the civil workers have learnt a lot and discovered among other things, that racism is not only a "white issue"(which was quite a strange phenomena here, as the only foreigners seen were the german tourists coming on summer and spending the whole time in the beach). I dont think the film is a hit here whatever the history is. "Salt" in catalan has not any relation with english "Salt". The association is not nice, for us, and in fact, it creates a kind of angry feeling to see this name spreading to the world in a most probably than a "false" story. I repeat, i didnt see the film, but the ads just provoked me a feeling of rejection and more when i saw them associated with a supposedly very sexy star. (i am not sure if i ever seen this Angelina in a film or else). Anyway, just a point of view.

It`s not as good as I expected

I just saw the movie a couple days ago. And I think Sault is just a poor woman who cannot choose her own life and love. She is living in a world that controlled by Russian. :( So I should be glad that I am just ordinary.
