For that sentence the proposition "for" may be best translated into Japanese as "niwa" or "ni totte wa"
for me: watashi niwa (わたしには), watashi ni totte wa (わたしにとっては)
for you: anata niwa (あなたには), anata ni totte wa (あなたにとっては)
For me that changes nothing but for you it's a shame.
watashi niwa nandemo nai koto dakeredo anata ni totte wa zannen na koto desu.
Of course, the English proposition "for" has a huge variety of usages so Japanese translation also varies to reflect such differences. Here I am not going to explain further and I'd rather leave the issue to a dictionary, but please keep in mind that "niwa" and "ni totte wa" are not the only translation for the word "for".
