How to fix the gender of a completely new noun in Deutsch?
The noun has no natural sex and is not like "Gast + Haus = Gasthaus" and has no suffix that indicates the gender obviously. When the Germans make this new word, how can they fix its gender?

In combined words the last one gives the article.

Das Genus eines Kompositums bestimmt immer das Hauptwort, welches als letztes steht. Beispiel: „Wandschrank“ ist maskulin, weil „Schrank“ maskulin ist.

If the borrowed word has an equivalent in German then it takes that gender. Otherwise you saw with Walmart (Supermarkt).

I guess either it sounds "right" (best) with a certain gender or it depends on the parent noun.
Example "Walmart":
"der Walmart", because Walmart is a supermarket "der Supermarkt"
